The Beginnings
It is a small town situated on the eastern shore of Como Lake to host the beginnings of two young technicians: Olivio Della Bella and Romolo Micheletti.
Colico, a lakeside jewel with its sight on the majestic Monte Legnone, metaphor of a place which preserves a mentality oriented to concreteness and quest for perfection.
Right here Olivio and Romolo start working for a dental practice, hired to set up the manufacture of dental implants of the Dispoimplant line, among the first at Italian dentists’ disposal.
It is a period of innovation and experimentation in a field driven by a limited number of visionaries, who, inspired by studies on the titanium osseointegration carried out by Prof. Per-Ingvar Brånemark, propose with courage a revolutionary idea: insertion of titanium screws into the bone to replicate artificially the root of a missing tooth.
This is the era of early experiments that are rooted in the expertise of Olivio and Romolo.
