Rehabilitation of an atrophic maxilla with the Hybrid Zygoma technique
Rehabilitation of an atrophic maxilla with the Hybrid Zygoma technique
ABSTRACT
An edentulous and severely atrophic upper jaw was rehabilitated with zygomatic implants. Specifically, the Hybrid technique was applied, which involves the placement of one zygomatic fixture per side in the posterior regions and two or more traditional implants in the premaxilla.
To complete this case, zygomatic implants were used, featuring a new, unique design, with a flat surface at the vestibular level that improves the healing of the soft tissues of the malar region, preventing possible decubitus of the mucosa.
