Rehabilitation of Maxillary Atrophy with New Types of Zygomatic Implant Guides

ABSTRACT

An increasingly widespread and effective approach for treating maxillary atrophy involves the use of zygomatic and/or pterygoid implants. Two clinical cases are presented, introducing two new types of surgical guides for these implants.

Two clinical cases are presented, illustrating a new guided surgery technique using mixed-support surgical guides. In the first case, a 60-year-old female patient presents in good general health and requests fixed prosthetic rehabilitation of the first quadrant molar region. In the second case, a 70-year-old female patient presents in good general health and requests fixed rehabilitation of the maxilla.
