A digital approach to single implants in the aesthetic area: a case report
ABSTRACT
Aim of the study: to illustrate the critical phases in the digital workflow of a single implant-prosthetic rehabilitation in the aesthetic area.
Case report: A virtual copy of the patient is created by matching the 3D data collected during the diagnostic phase. Each phase of the rehabilitation is previewed, including coronal sliding flap and allograft dermal grafting, implant placement, bone grafting, and immediate prosthetic restoration.
An angular discrepancy between the planning and the actual case equal to 1.45° is detected; the apex is 0.394 mm distant and the entry point 0.243 mm.
The case is an example of the degree of accuracy of the most modern and complete rehabilitation approaches of prosthetically guided surgery. Quintessence Int. 2023;37(3):48–57.
