Prosthetically guided rehabilitation on 6 implants: a full-digital flapless approach. Fact or fiction?

ABSTRACT

A 55-year-old patient presented in March 2020 with a loose tooth following a fall. A more in-depth analysis using an orthopantomography and periodontal probing revealed a more serious condition: all the teeth in the upper arch were beyond repair, with mobility and signs of severe bone loss. After non-surgical periodontal treatment and a thorough assessment of the case, a treatment plan was established that included serial extractions and flapless placement of six single-stage implants using computer-guided surgery, with immediate loading. Postoperative follow-up, documented with pre- and post-treatment photographs, showed positive results after over two years.
