Digital Workflow for Immediate Loading Post-Extraction Implant Placement
ABSTRACT
This article presents the clinical case of a patient with a chronic lesion associated with tooth 2.5, treated through immediate post-extraction implant rehabilitation. After diagnosing the tooth as hopeless with a vestibular fistula and absence of acute symptoms, an implant-prosthetic rehabilitation was planned using static guided surgery. Planning was performed through intraoral scanning and CBCT, allowing the creation of a virtual patient and precise positioning of the PSK implant.
The procedure included atraumatic tooth extraction, preservation of the socket with a biomaterial based on deproteinized bovine bone and collagen, advanced soft tissue management with an epithelial-connective tissue graft, and immediate prosthesis placement.
Follow-ups at 1 and 2 years confirmed implant osseointegration and stability of peri-implant tissues, with optimal aesthetic and functional results. This case highlights the effectiveness of immediate post-extraction guided surgery in ensuring high clinical standards and a reduced incidence of complications.
